Data Security Definitions

This article minces more words than are necessary into a research paper. Why use one word when a few sentences will do? It seeks to analyse and understand what data sovereignty really means. In essence it drills down to ownership, control, and power. This can relate to an individual, a company, a location or even a country and becomes disputed when designing and architecting a system or solution. Suffice to say, you need to be sure any contract into which you enter, (such as cloud storage), has this clearly defined, so that you retain control, ownership and the power to move, edit, and delete your own data, no matter where or how it is stored.
