Good pay always helps and that is further fueling the economy. Lorry drivers are being offered a “Golden Hello” only previously enjoyed at C-level and in the financial services sectors.

Job security is a more important consideration than before, as furlough and insecurities in some sectors has created a risk-averse job seeker. Encouragingly, redundancy figures have shown no sign of increasing, even as the furlough scheme winds down.
The Office for Budget Responsibility has suggested that earnings’ growth could go as high as 8% – so, do you think people will become more mobile to seek the better pay? Or will that job-security gene kick in?
It is difficult to predict, as there is still so much in flux, but it is heartening to be busy, with projects restarted that were side-lined 18 months ago and new enquiries coming in daily.
