The phrase of the early 2020’s was digital transformation, but it was referred to as a decision, an event, a transformation from A to Z with new systems and processes. However, what has become increasingly clear is that it is a continuous and evolving process, with budget, projects, a champion, and time.
In the same way we now expect to pay a subscription or consumption model for systems and solutions on an on-going basis, we should expect a continuous need to evolve our digital agenda. For this there needs to be an annual budget as you don’t know what you might need next year but you need to plan for it.
One thing we have all learned in recent years is to expect the unexpected. To thrive in business you need to be able to adapt and flex and the same goes for the solutions that underpin your business.
