Working in Partnership with our Customers – a typical Engagement

Reinforce Technology is often asked to propose business enhancements to an organisation’s current business processes.

The enhancements must improve and increase the efficiency of the current activities associated with the Infor ERP application. The output of the review will result in changing current business processes, user procedures and creating new user procedures, known as ‘future state’.

It is no surprise therefore that case studies are a rarity, as no customer wants to air their dirty laundry in public for all to see. To fulfil requirements like this we assess the business and note how processes work or where data and efficiencies fall through the cracks. We document the “As Is” state and learn the processes and functions of how the ERP is being used. With years of experience of these situations alongside a deep understanding of the technology, we can then suggest enhancements and build workflows and diagrams that demonstrate how things can be improved.

As a service business it is our job to understand the client requirements and interpret those as described into a plan for improvement. This involves talking to stakeholders in the business as well as end users to understand the full impact of any changes.

Each scenario is different. In some instances, we provide training for those new to the system, other times it could be seasoned users who need to break their habits and do things differently – but we always do it with understanding, empathy and carefully paced learning.

No matter what training is required, it is always important to first carry out a training needs analysis. We always recommend going back to basic principles to understand processes, problems, data flows and how the business handles change. If you get the foundations right, you can then systematically tick-off roles, responsibilities, processes, anomalies, workflows, integrations, reporting and reviews.
