What do Milk and ERP systems have in common?
Milk, like your data, needs to be Clean and Fresh!!
A couple of villages away from where I live in Wiltshire, there is a milk bar called Moo to You. When I say milk bar, there is a little hut that sits outside the community shop that houses a machine where you can buy fresh milk. All you need to do is pay £1, put a bottle under the nozzle, hit start and out pours the chilled milk. It is regularly topped up but the farmer’s mobile number is on the machine so you can even call him to let him know when the bar has run dry. And within 10 minutes there he is, with a full churn of milk.
All this amounts to very few food miles, incredibly fresh and great tasting milk from our lovely Wiltshire cows. OK, it might cost a little more than your average pint of milk, but the end-product has not been tampered with or diluted in anyway.
And how is this going to Segway to ERP I hear you ask?
Well, this is how you want your data; pure, clean, fresh, and not tampered with because no-one likes dirty data. The best way to improve data is to remove human intervention as it flows through the business and this is achieved by automating your
business processes and eliminating the risk of human error.
If your organisation is heavily reliant on spreadsheets, this is your Must-do!
Optimise your business processes so that system data reports can be efficiently generated and delivered directly to your desktop.
